Last day of CNY, on Monday, which was replacement holiday of Thaipusam. :D I met with buddy, and we went to Esplanade, joining the crowd at official Chap Goh Meh celebration.
From far, I already saw the chingay big flag, wow... it has been long time I do not see the performance. When I was kid that time, every year my parent did bring me to see the chingay parade of 9th Emperor. :) Surprisingly, some Malays girls were in the big flag's team!! An ang mo try to play with the flag, but its really too heavy for him, hardly can balance the flag, not to say to raise it on head. :P

This was a muhibah event, on the stage, it was baba-nyonya singing and dancing. Then, at the open area, there was Chinese culture performance, like chingay and lion dance. We can see multiple culture mixing well here. :)
I managed to shake hand with Lim Guan Eng!!! hahaha.. His hand very warm and smooth! :D He is Penang Idol. When he was invited to give speech, the crowd give him a big hands, much more than the applause given to those performances. hee.. :P
Eh.. CM's car, with plat number PG1, fast fast grabbed the chance to pose with the car. wahaha... after we took photos, other people also started to take photo with the car. kekeke...

The tangerine tossing is a tradition at Chap Goh Meh. The tradition of the event is to give chances to man and lady who still single to meet each other. Back to previous day, lady will write the name and contact on tangerine, then throw to the water. Guy will then pick up the tangerine from the water. But, nowadays, only throwing taking place, no more picking tangerine. So, most people will write the wishes on the tangerine and throw for fun. :D
After CM given speech, we left and headed to Komtar, there was another celebration event, but too bad, atmosphere there very cold, most of the people gathered at Esplanade, not seeing any big crowd at Komtar. I able to take close up photos of dragon and lion dance. :D
