Tzu Chi having an Annual Blessing Ceremony at PISA on Sunday (27-Jan-2008). My friend asked me to help him on that day.

I went to PISA around 9.30am. Lots of Tzu Chi members already been there. They were preparing for the show later in the night.
My friend brief me on my tasks. I was helping him at the audio-visual control station. Sound very simple. I needed to get ready the subtitles, which will be display on the projector screen during the show. The subtitles were prepared in Chinese and English, based on the script. I got the script and the rundown on my hands, all I had to do was clicking the next button, to bring the subtitle up, line by line on laptop screen, then the other guy will projected it to the screen. Simple? I went through the rehearsal for first time, still good, can catchup with sign language (手语) performance and drama. There were some missing subtitles that need to be added in after rehearsal. Second session for me to go through my tasks, was a blessing ceremony for member only. And the final one will be at night, which was opened for public. Everything gone smooth, except the story telling session by a host. She didn't follow the script, hard to catchup with her.
I was too touching on that day. I was weeping whenever I watched the news report that Tzu Chi helped the needed during the disaster. I was very very lucky been able to live in peace every now and then. Lots of unfortunate people was out there. They had gone through the starvation, poverty, the diseases, flood, fire... The mother nature is seriously sick now. We need to save the nature's resources, else, our future will suffer much more than now. Tzu Chi recycling effort was recognized by international body. Even in the biggest Islamic country, Indonesia, their helping hands are very welcome and respect by the local. Tzu Chi helps whoever is needed, not differentiate by religious or politics. They even helping US when there were forest fire. Everyone can give anyone helping hands, as long as you willing to help.
The performance was very spectacular. The member were practicing for long hours. They had shown the discipline and cooperation during the show. Everyone is amazing.
The blessing ceremony started with the lighting of the candles. The hall occupied by around 12 thousands of audiences. Everyone had a candle on their hands. The view was amazing. We blessed for good year ahead, for everyone, for the world.

Thanks to my friend, who asked me and give me the chance to help. It was a very good experience for me to be part of event. It was a very meaningful day for me. Although very loaded with tasks, and lack of time to take our meals and tired, but I did learn a lot. And I did have lots of thoughts, think of my life, think of what I had have, think of what I should just let it go, let it be...
