2 crazy fellows, and a short notice plan, then we headed off to Padang Serai, Kulim, on Saturday morning. Travel by my little car, we went for food hunt, buddy be the navigator. The weather was good, cloudy in the morning, not so hot.
Eh??!! The noodle stall is no longer at the alley, aiyo.. how come? Never mind, let's settled the main task first. We went to pray at a nearby temple. I pray for good luck. Many unhappy things happen lately, wish to have everything resolved soon.
After prayer, we not gave up the food. Buddy called a local friend, we been told that the stall has been moved to kopitiam. Yeah.. finally found it, famous hokkien mee and curry mee, ordered one each, but taukeh gave 2 dry hokkien mee. Erm.. never mind, we will come again next time to try the curry mee.
The dry hokkien mee has various toppings. Other than usual topping like prawn and slice of egg, it had crispy fried pork rind (pork skin) and fried wantan.
Met up a friend, before back to island. Shopped for some stuffs at supermarket, then having light lunch. Next destination was market at 7th Road, Georgetown. The weather was extremely hot!! The wet market is very lively in the afternoon. Our target was the food court. :P Scouting around the place... mm... to many food, end up, we took "you cha koay" and wantan mee only. I think the weather was too hot, we lost our appetite.
After a short rest, next, we were at Gurney Plaza. Hang around, scouting up and down the floors, doing window shopping. :P Can not shop for long, sit and rest before dinner time. Sigh.. sign of aging.
Was having buffet dinner, Korean style steamboat and BBQ at Seoul Garden. The most satisfied part was handful of prawn in steamboat. At the end, ginsheng chicken soup for steamboat, tasted like prawn soup, ready to serve hokkien mee. :P But we were too full, skip the mee.
A day of food hunt outing, tried but satisfied with the food. :D
